Gulf Cable wins Al-Roudhan's 39th Ramadan Futsal Tourney
KUWAIT: The Gulf Cable & Electrical Industries (Gulf Cable) team yesterday won the 39th Al-Roudhan Futsal Tourney while the late sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousif team won the juniors' title.
The tourney was concluded under the auspices of HH the Amir and with the presence of HH's representative, the deputy Amiri Diwan Affairs Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al-Abdullah. The conclusion ceremony was also attended by the speaker of the house Marzouq Al-Ghanim, the Information Minister Mohammed Al-Jebri, MOCI, Khalid Al-Roudhan, the Cabinet Secretary General Abdullatif AlRoudhan, HH the CP advisor, Nasser Al-Roudhan, Zain's CEO Bader Al-Kharafi and the Information Ministry's Undersecretary, Tareq Al-Merzam.
The final match between Gulf Cable and Boubyan Bank ended with a 1-1 draw and reached penalty shootouts where the Gulf Cable goalkeeper, Hani Heeda excelled and managed to win the title for his team.
On the other hand, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousif's juniors team won the final match and the 8th tourney title after beating Al-Kuwait team 2-1 in the penalty shootout.
On his part, the head of the organizing committee, Abdullah Al-Roudhan stressed HH the Amir's patronage was the main element behind its continuity and success. Al-Roudhan also thanked all the sponsors.
Speaking on the occasion, the championship's supreme organizing committee's assistant secretary general Nasser Al-Khater expressed his happiness for the partnership with Al-Roudhan as well as his hopes for this partnership to continue.
