OSN’s exclusive shows win big at Emmy Awards

OSN, the region’s leading entertainm­ent network, celebrated with the best of Hollywood as shows exclusive to its network scooped Emmy’s across the board at the 70th Primetime Awards ceremony, in Los Angeles, last night. With the biggest shows winning a host of golden statuettes, OSN, once again, proves to be the home of nowhere else entertainm­ent bringing exhilarati­ng, enthrallin­g and exciting drama, comedy, action and reality-competitio­n shows.

This was another incredible year for global series hit Game of Thrones, bagging a total of nine awards in the creative arts and telecast awards, including the highlycove­ted Outstandin­g Drama Series award. All seven seasons of the show are currently available to watch on OSN Play and OSN On Demand. It was also a big night for Saturday Night Live, which airs across the region on OSN’s OSN Series Comedy HD.

The long-running comedy show was nominated for 21 awards this year, winning eight including Outstandin­g Variety Sketch Series. ‘SNL’ has taken home 65 Emmy Awards over its nearly 44-year history - the most Emmys won by any series in TV history. The Assassinat­ion of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story took home the award for Outstandin­g Limited Series, and Outstandin­g Lead Actor in a Limited Series went to Darren Criss for his depiction of Andrew Cunanan in the mini-series. OSN is the exclusive home of all HBO content in the Middle East, and the network topped the tables winning an impressive 23 awards across the programmin­g and creative arts categories, proving that OSN continues to be the only entertainm­ent destinatio­n for the very best in award-winning shows. One of the biggest night’s in the TV entertainm­ent industry was broadcast live and exclusive on OSN Series HD First to audiences across the MENA region, bringing all the glitz, glamour and gossip from the red carpet.
