Arms4u holds workshops
Arms4u, an association dedicated to the care and protection of the environment as well as philanthropy organized ‘Power Up - A Day of Workshops’ event on 11th of September at the Symphony Hall in Riggae. Arms4u President Alex John inaugurated the event and began the proceedings with a general body meeting. He addressed the gathering and spoke briefly about the association’s history, mission and its past and future activities.
Secretary Vattiyoorkavu Krishnakumar gave a presentation of the activities of the past two years and Prashant J.R., the treasurer read out the audited financial report with findings and recommendations from an independent auditor. The general body also dissolved the current panel of executives and a new panel was announced and approved by the members. The first workshop of the ‘Power Up’ event was a presentation and discussion of the various welfare schemes of NORKA by N Ajith Kumar its director in Kuwait.
One of schemes, the Pravasi Pension Scheme was a big favorite as it provided expat Keralites an opportunity to earn lifetime pension. The second workshop was conducted by Dr Manjusha Rajesh, PhD., who held the audience captivated with her wonderful presentation skills on the subject - ‘Hypertension among Adolescents’. Arms4u charity convener Ramesh Nair informed the members of the various charity initiatives that would be launched soon and requested participation from one and all. The program moderator was done by Rajesh Nair and program convener was Bilal Rajameeran.
