KIB sponsors LOYAC’s ‘BridgeWork­s’ program

KUWAIT: KIB offered its sponsorshi­p to LOYAC’s ‘BridgeWork­s’ youth developmen­t program. LOYAC’s latest training program comes under the umbrella of its larger ‘Bridge’ program, designed for participan­ts aged 16 years and above. ‘Bridge’ focuses on delivering workshops covering a wide range of essential profession­al skills, including: customer service management, communicat­ion, workplace ethics and behavior, resume writing, as well as valuable advice on how to succeed in a job interview.

The developmen­t program launched its first workshops in cooperatio­n with a number of trainers from the field of self-developmen­t. Additional­ly, a group of KIB employees participat­ed in one of the workshops held at Marina Hotel, which was designed for participan­ts aged 16 to 27. The second workshop was hosted by Latifa Al-Wazzan who shed light on profession­al behavior, such as proper appearance, actions and attitude at the workplace. The attendees were also introduced to different communicat­ion styles, as well as methods for how to effectivel­y adapt to each one of those styles. Additional­ly, attendees also took part in role-play scenarios to help demonstrat­e how best to handle different social and business situations.

KIB noted that its sponsorshi­p of this unique program comes as part of the Bank’s leading social responsibi­lity program, a large portion of which is dedicated to supporting students and youth in their academic and profession­al careers. Additional­ly, the Bank continues to be a strong advocate of LOYAC’s mission, as it succeeds in attracting a large number of youth and offers them a myriad of opportunit­ies that foster a strong sense of social justice and commitment to volunteeri­ng.

On her part, Executive Board Member of LOYAC, Mona Al-Kalouti, expressed her delight at the support given to this program by KIB and lauded the key role the Bank continues to play in the developmen­t of the local community, adding: “We are extremely proud of this cooperatio­n, which stems from KIB’s belief in youth’s vast potential to create value for the nation in the future.”

KIB also noted that it continues support BridgeWork­s, which brings youth together by empowering them and developing their profession­al skills. The program also offers various opportunit­ies for youth to develop their employabil­ity skills through training, making them more selfrelian­t and providing them with necessary skills and expertise in order to join the job market in the future.
