KIB sponsors LOYAC’s ‘BridgeWorks’ program
KUWAIT: KIB offered its sponsorship to LOYAC’s ‘BridgeWorks’ youth development program. LOYAC’s latest training program comes under the umbrella of its larger ‘Bridge’ program, designed for participants aged 16 years and above. ‘Bridge’ focuses on delivering workshops covering a wide range of essential professional skills, including: customer service management, communication, workplace ethics and behavior, resume writing, as well as valuable advice on how to succeed in a job interview.
The development program launched its first workshops in cooperation with a number of trainers from the field of self-development. Additionally, a group of KIB employees participated in one of the workshops held at Marina Hotel, which was designed for participants aged 16 to 27. The second workshop was hosted by Latifa Al-Wazzan who shed light on professional behavior, such as proper appearance, actions and attitude at the workplace. The attendees were also introduced to different communication styles, as well as methods for how to effectively adapt to each one of those styles. Additionally, attendees also took part in role-play scenarios to help demonstrate how best to handle different social and business situations.
KIB noted that its sponsorship of this unique program comes as part of the Bank’s leading social responsibility program, a large portion of which is dedicated to supporting students and youth in their academic and professional careers. Additionally, the Bank continues to be a strong advocate of LOYAC’s mission, as it succeeds in attracting a large number of youth and offers them a myriad of opportunities that foster a strong sense of social justice and commitment to volunteering.
On her part, Executive Board Member of LOYAC, Mona Al-Kalouti, expressed her delight at the support given to this program by KIB and lauded the key role the Bank continues to play in the development of the local community, adding: “We are extremely proud of this cooperation, which stems from KIB’s belief in youth’s vast potential to create value for the nation in the future.”
KIB also noted that it continues support BridgeWorks, which brings youth together by empowering them and developing their professional skills. The program also offers various opportunities for youth to develop their employability skills through training, making them more selfreliant and providing them with necessary skills and expertise in order to join the job market in the future.
