MPW affirms the importance of women’s role in Kuwaiti society
KUWAIT: Kuwait Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Hussam Al-Roumi affirmed on Sunday the importance of Kuwaiti women’s role in society, as they have many achievements in various fields. Al-Roumi said in a speech on the sidelines of a ceremony organized by the Workers’ Union of Kuwait Municipality to honor the Women’s Working Committee as part of a campaign to promote women’s rights, “Kuwaiti women’s efforts has no limit.”
The Minister noted that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has praised the efforts and performances of the employees working in the Municipality of Kuwait.”The development witnessed by the Municipality is still below the level of our ambitions because we are confident of even greater work by the national cadre in the Municipality, where they have recently completed the first stage of computerized process,” he added.
He pointed out that Kuwait Municipality is in the process of starting the second phase of computerizing the municipal work and then start the third and final phase, which will contribute significantly to the elimination of corruption. For his part, Chairman of the Workers’ Union of Kuwait Municipality Mohammad Al-Arada thanked the members of the Women’s Committee for their hard work and contribution to honoring the demands of women working in the Municipality of Kuwait.
