Ooredoo renews partnership with Flying Start Triathlon
KUWAIT: Ooredoo Kuwait announced its strategic partnership for the second consecutive year with the Flying Start Triathlon at a press conference, further solidifying its position as a supporter of Kuwaiti youth and athletes. The triathlon will take place during the weekend on October 26 and 27 at Green Island. The triathlon will include exciting activities such as swimming, running, and biking. The event will also include different solo sports activities, and will be held in a friendly atmosphere for families to enjoy, with different coffee shops and snack vendors serving light meals and refreshments to athletes and audiences.
Commenting on this, Corporate Communications Senior Director at Ooredoo Kuwait Mijbil Alayoub noted that Ooredoo and the Flying Start Triathlon both believe in enabling youth and supporting them in reaching their potential, which is one of the biggest pillars of the company’s CSR strategy. He added: “This strategic partnership goes in tandem with our belief in supporting youth initiatives and athletes in Kuwait. We are proud to be sponsors of the Flying Start Triathlon, and we wish all the participating athletes the best. We are especially proud of our young athletes that we sponsor, such as Kuwaiti champion Abdulaziz Al-Rashed, and Kuwaiti athlete Najlaa Al-Jeraiwi who represented Kuwait in the Asian Games this year.”
Ooredoo works extensively around the year according to its CSR strategy to collaborate with different entities to support youth, such as the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs and the Public Youth Authority. This stems from the company’s deep belief in the big role that youth play in building the future of the country.
