Zain con­cludes strate­gic part­ner­ship of 7th Youth Em­pow­er­ment Sym­po­sium

KUWAIT: Zain, the lead­ing dig­i­tal ser­vice provider in Kuwait, con­cluded its strate­gic part­ner­ship of the sev­enth Youth Em­pow­er­ment Sym­po­sium held at Four Sea­sons Ho­tel un­der the pa­tron­age of His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah from 5-6 Novem­ber with the at­ten­dance of Zain Kuwait’s Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Ea­man Al-Roud­han. Zain’s strate­gic part­ner­ship of the Youth Em­pow­er­ment Sym­po­sium for the sev­enth con­sec­u­tive year came in line with the com­pany’s long term strat­egy of pro­vid­ing the nec­es­sary sup­port to na­tional ini­tia­tives aimed at uplift­ing the ca­pa­bil­i­ties and skills of Kuwaiti youth. The com­pany has al­ways been a main sup­porter of such na­tional aca­demic ini­tia­tives that cater to de­vel­op­ing and nur­tur­ing the skills of Kuwait’s youth to help em­power them in the com­mu­nity for a bet­ter to­mor­row.

The Youth Em­pow­er­ment Sym­po­sium’s sec­ond day pro­gram wit­nessed the par­tic­i­pa­tion of Zain Kuwait’s Chief Tech­ni­cal Of­fi­cer Nawaf Al-Ghara­bally in the fifth panel dis­cus­sion en­ti­tled “Youth Op­por­tu­ni­ties in the Pri­vate Sec­tor.” Dur­ing the panel dis­cus­sion, Ghara­bally af­firmed Zain’s role as a lead­ing pri­vate sec­tor com­pany in sup­port­ing na­tional tal­ents, pre­sent­ing them with tech­ni­cal and ad­min­is­tra­tive ca­reer op­por­tu­ni­ties, as well as con­tin­u­ously of­fer­ing ad­e­quate train­ing pro­grams to nur­ture their skills. Ghara­bally also stressed on the im­por­tance of at­tract­ing lo­cal tal­ents and giv­ing them the re­spon­si­bil­ity to flour­ish and con­trib­ute in achiev­ing the com­pany’s strate­gic goals.

The Youth Em­pow­er­ment Sym­po­sium, held 5-6 Novem­ber, pro­vided lo­cal youth with an ideal op­por­tu­nity to gain valu­able in­sights from a num­ber of in­ter­na­tion­ally and lo­cally renowned in­dus­try pi­o­neers, aca­demics, and ex­perts. This year’s speak­ers in­cluded Mitch Lowe, CEO of Movie Pass, for­mer co-found­ing ex­ec­u­tive of Net­flix and for­mer Pres­i­dent of Red­box, Ja­son Wheeler for­mer Vice Pres­i­dent of Fi­nance at Google and for­mer Chief Fi­nan­cial Of­fi­cer of Tesla Mo­tors, and more.

Zain’s pres­ence in this na­tional event show­cased the com­pany’s ded­i­ca­tion to em­pow­er­ing the en­trepreneurial skills of youth in Kuwait. The sym­po­sium de­liv­ered out­stand­ing knowl­edge to tal­ented young peo­ple to be able to progress in their fields of in­ter­est as well as to spark the light of en­thu­si­asm within them.
