De­fense Min­is­ter won’t re­ceive well-wish­ers

KUWAIT: First Deputy Prime Min­is­ter and Min­is­ter of De­fense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah will not, due to bad weather, re­ceive well-wish­ers to­day fol­low­ing his re­turn to Kuwait from an over­seas treat­ment trip on Fri­day, the Min­istry of De­fense an­nounced. Sheikh Nasser will not be able to re­ceive well-wish­ers due to heavy rainfall, the min­istry added in a brief state­ment. The min­istry an­nounced ear­lier that Sheikh Nasser would be re­ceiv­ing the well-wish­ers to­day be­tween 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm at the Armed Forces Of­fi­cers Club on Gulf Street.

Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad had re­turned home fol­low­ing an over­seas treat­ment trip. A min­istry state­ment quoted the First Deputy Premier as say­ing “I would like to take this op­por­tu­nity to ex­press my ut­most ap­pre­ci­a­tion and gratitude to our fa­ther His High­ness the Amir and Supreme Com­man­der of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah, His High­ness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the pa­tri­arch of AlSabah fam­ily and Chief of Kuwait Na­tional Guard His High­ness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and Al-Sabah fam­ily for their con­stant fol­low­ing up of my con­di­tion dur­ing my treat­ment and re­cov­ery pe­riod.” “I would like also to thank the Na­tional Assem­bly Speaker Mar­zouq Al-Ghanem, His High­ness the Prime Min­is­ter Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Ha­mad Al-Sabah, Min­is­ters, MPs, cit­i­zens, and per­son­nel and staff of the de­fense min­istry for their prayers,” said Sheikh Nasser Al-Sabah. He prayed to Al­lah Almighty to bless ev­ery­one with per­pet­ual good health and well­ness.

Kuwait’s Army Gen­eral Staff extended ut­most con­grat­u­la­tions to Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad on his safe re­turn home af­ter spend­ing a pe­riod of med­i­cal treat­ment abroad. Army Chief of Staff Lieu­tenant Gen­eral Mo­ham­mad Khaled Al-Kheder and Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff Lieu­tenant Gen­eral Ab­dul­lah AlNawaf Al-Sabah con­grat­u­lated, on be­half of all Kuwaiti army per­son­nel and staff, Sheikh Nasser AlSabah on his re­turn home, the army’s direc­torate of moral guid­ance and pub­lic re­la­tions said in a press state­ment. They also prayed to Al­lah Almighty to bless the de­fense min­is­ter with long-last­ing good health and well­ness to re­sume his du­ties and achieve fur­ther progress for Kuwait. The mil­i­tary top of­fi­cials also prayed to Al­lah Almighty to per­pet­u­ate the grace of se­cu­rity, safety, and wealth on the coun­try un­der the wise lead­er­ship of His High­ness the Amir and Supreme Com­man­der of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah AlAh­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His High­ness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His High­ness the Prime Min­is­ter Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Ha­mad Al-Sabah. — KUNA
