Behbehani Motors opens world’s largest modular Volkswagen showroom in Kuwait

The new $32.5m state-of-the-art showroom is the largest of its kind in the world

KUWAIT: Behbehani Motors Company, the official distributo­r of Volkswagen in Kuwait has opened the world’s largest modular Volkswagen showroom as part of a wider investment in facilities worth a total of $145.6m.

The impressive showroom located in Al-Rai is set to offer customers an unparallel­ed experience and spans across 22,134 square meters. It has the capacity to display 46 vehicles including Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) and Used Cars and offers state-of the-art facilities alongside a unique mezzanine area which overlooks the display of cars.

Designed in line with the Volkswagen Modular Concept, the showroom spans across five levels, above and below ground, and includes ample customer parking. The roof top has an advanced solar system installed allowing the energy produced to be stored for a variety of uses including solar cooling, lighting and electricit­y. The minimalist interior space features crisp white walls, natural wood and clean lines, providing an open and inviting atmosphere for customers.

The showroom will display Volkswagen’s latest SUVs including the new Touareg and the all-new 7seater Teramont, alongside other popular models including the Golf, Golf GTI, Tiguan and Passat.

Ali Morad Behbehani, owner of Behbehani Motors Company, said: “Our new modular showroom marks a significan­t milestone in Kuwait’s expansion strategy. Kuwait is a growing market, and an investment of this size not only expands our presence in Kuwait, it is also a clear symbol of the strength of our partnershi­p with Volkswagen.”

As part of the significan­t investment from Behbehani Motors, the next year will also see the launch of a new Volkswagen sales, service and spare parts facility as well as a body shop, both located in Shuwaikh. In recognitio­n of the company’s outstandin­g contributi­on to the business and Retailer Network globally, Behbehani Motors has been awarded a Gold Pin from Volkswagen AG (headquarte­rs) - an honor within the Volkswagen community.

Behbehani Motors Company, which joined the Volkswagen Middle East retail network in 1957, has enjoyed on-going success in Kuwait. The state-ofthe-art showroom opening will undoubtedl­y offer a special customer experience as the brand expands its showroom centre and services across the country.
