Zain platinum sponsor of 6th E-Gov Forum

KUWAIT: Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its platinum sponsorshi­p of the sixth EGovernmen­t Forum (EGOV6) for the second consecutiv­e year organized by NoufEXPO and the Central Agency for Informatio­n Technology (CAIT) under the theme ‘Managing Change towards Digitizati­on.’ The event, held at Crowne Plaza Hotel from 4 - 6 December, came under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

The forum’s inaugurati­on ceremony witnessed the attendance of several prominent figures, led by HH the Prime Minister’s representa­tive Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, General Manager of NoufEXPO Yousef Al-Marzouq,

Director General of the Central Agency for Informatio­n Technology (CAIT) Qussai Al-Shatti, Chief Executive Officer of Zain Kuwait Eaman Al-Roudhan, as well as a number of experts, profession­als, and leaders from both the public and private sectors.

Zain’s platinum sponsorshi­p of the forum for the second consecutiv­e year highlights the company’s keenness on being an active participan­t in shoulderin­g the various local and regional initiative­s that contribute to advancing the community and the further progress of national economy. Being a leading national player in the Kuwaiti private sector, Zain believes in the importance of the active collaborat­ion between the public and private sectors to enrich Kuwait’s future.

During the event, Zain Kuwait’s Chief Executive Officer Eaman Al-Roudhan took part in awarding the Public Authority for Industry with the Distinguis­hed EService Award. The award, organized for the third consecutiv­e year, is given to the government­al entity with the most distinguis­hed electronic service offered on the State of Kuwait’s official E-Gate website e.gov.com.kw as per strict standards set by the Central Agency for Informatio­n Technology (CAIT). Roudhan also took part in awarding the forum’s sponsors and contributo­rs. The 6th E-Government Forum (EGOV6), entitled ‘Managing Change towards Digitizati­on,’ witnessed many specialize­d workshops and panel discussion­s that focused on how change management affects the developmen­t of e-government programs, the challenges these programs face, and how to execute them in an efficient manner. The forum also discussed the challenges related to the scarcity of qualified human resources to manage and develop such programs, and more. the forum was held with the presence of the GCC E-Government Executive Committee.
