Zain plat­inum spon­sor of 6th E-Gov Fo­rum

KUWAIT: Zain, the lead­ing dig­i­tal ser­vice provider in Kuwait, an­nounced its plat­inum spon­sor­ship of the sixth EGovern­ment Fo­rum (EGOV6) for the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive year or­ga­nized by NoufEXPO and the Cen­tral Agency for In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy (CAIT) un­der the theme ‘Manag­ing Change to­wards Dig­i­ti­za­tion.’ The event, held at Crowne Plaza Ho­tel from 4 - 6 De­cem­ber, came un­der the pa­tron­age of His High­ness the Prime Min­is­ter Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Ha­mad Al-Sabah.

The fo­rum’s in­au­gu­ra­tion cer­e­mony wit­nessed the at­ten­dance of sev­eral prom­i­nent fig­ures, led by HH the Prime Min­is­ter’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive Deputy Prime Min­is­ter and Min­is­ter of State for Cab­i­net Af­fairs Anas Al-Saleh, Gen­eral Man­ager of NoufEXPO Yousef Al-Mar­zouq,

Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of the Cen­tral Agency for In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy (CAIT) Qus­sai Al-Shatti, Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer of Zain Kuwait Ea­man Al-Roud­han, as well as a num­ber of ex­perts, pro­fes­sion­als, and lead­ers from both the pub­lic and pri­vate sec­tors.

Zain’s plat­inum spon­sor­ship of the fo­rum for the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive year high­lights the com­pany’s keen­ness on be­ing an ac­tive par­tic­i­pant in shoul­der­ing the var­i­ous lo­cal and re­gional ini­tia­tives that con­trib­ute to ad­vanc­ing the com­mu­nity and the fur­ther progress of na­tional econ­omy. Be­ing a lead­ing na­tional player in the Kuwaiti pri­vate sec­tor, Zain be­lieves in the im­por­tance of the ac­tive col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the pub­lic and pri­vate sec­tors to en­rich Kuwait’s fu­ture.

Dur­ing the event, Zain Kuwait’s Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer Ea­man Al-Roud­han took part in awarding the Pub­lic Au­thor­ity for In­dus­try with the Dis­tin­guished ESer­vice Award. The award, or­ga­nized for the third con­sec­u­tive year, is given to the gov­ern­men­tal en­tity with the most dis­tin­guished elec­tronic ser­vice of­fered on the State of Kuwait’s of­fi­cial E-Gate web­site e.gov.com.kw as per strict stan­dards set by the Cen­tral Agency for In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy (CAIT). Roud­han also took part in awarding the fo­rum’s spon­sors and con­trib­u­tors. The 6th E-Gov­ern­ment Fo­rum (EGOV6), en­ti­tled ‘Manag­ing Change to­wards Dig­i­ti­za­tion,’ wit­nessed many spe­cial­ized work­shops and panel dis­cus­sions that fo­cused on how change man­age­ment af­fects the de­vel­op­ment of e-gov­ern­ment pro­grams, the chal­lenges these pro­grams face, and how to ex­e­cute them in an ef­fi­cient man­ner. The fo­rum also dis­cussed the chal­lenges re­lated to the scarcity of qual­i­fied hu­man re­sources to man­age and de­velop such pro­grams, and more. the fo­rum was held with the pres­ence of the GCC E-Gov­ern­ment Ex­ec­u­tive Com­mit­tee.
