KIB participat­es in ‘Women Success’ conference

KUWAIT: KIB participat­ed in the ‘Common Factors for Women Success Conference 2018’ entitled ‘Success 2,’ which was organized by Safira Company for Social Responsibi­lity. The conference was held under the patronage of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and the Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Planning and Developmen­t Dr Khalid Mahdi. Held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the conference was attended by a group of prominent businesspe­ople and journalist­s.

The conference hosted a large number of women who achieved outstandin­g success across various fields in the GCC. At the conference, the discussion centered on successful local and regional women in diverse fields, as well as fields previously dominated by men. The conference also focused on the important factors that contribute to the success of any woman, regardless of her specialty or profession.

On this occasion, Amal Bukhamseen, Corporate Communicat­ions Officer at KIB, said: “KIB has always sought to participat­e in activities and events which aim at empowering women and supporting their work and efforts, thereby contributi­ng to sustainabl­e developmen­t. Kuwaiti women have achieved many achievemen­ts and become active and equal players in the developmen­t of the nation.”Bukhamseen also added that this commitment stems from KIB’s unwavering belief in the integral role women play in the local community. The bank also remains confident that Kuwaiti women are fully capable of managing different roles and responsibi­lities. Accordingl­y, KIB continues to empower women and support their achievemen­ts, thereby helping them achieve more and contribute to nation-building. As a national financial institutio­n and as part of its leading social responsibi­lity program, KIB actively seeks to participat­e in initiative­s and events that serve diverse segments of the local community.
