KIB participates in 11th Kuwait week in Cairo
KUWAIT: KIB recently participated in the 11th Kuwait Week in Cairo, which was held under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister and in cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Kuwait. The event was attended by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Cairo, Mohammed Al-Thoikh, as well as a group of ministers of investment and international cooperation, trade and industry, culture, and a number of businesspeople. Held from 4 to 6 December, the event took place at the Nile RitzCarlton, Cairo.
The event aimed at strengthening Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations and cooperation between the two nations. During the event, over 80 Kuwaiti and Egyptian entities from both public and private sectors attended, including ministries and official bodies, companies across investment, industry, trade, real estate, and tourism sectors, banks, media and a number of KuwaitiEgyptian joint ventures.
KIB noted that it remains committed to actively participating in this event that is held annually in Cairo. The event aims at strengthening cooperation between Kuwait and Egypt to promote investment between the two countries. Accordingly, the Bank continues to participate in these events and activities that support development projects and provide an investment-attractive environment in Kuwait. Moreover, KIB pointed out that the event sheds light on outstanding developments achieved by Kuwaiti institutions and economic growth in the nation. The event also presents a unique platform for attendees to learn more about notable investment opportunities and the latest local projects.
KIB added that this event has supported Kuwaiti-Egyptian investment relations over the last ten years. As a result, there has been continued Kuwaiti investment in Egypt, where investment witnessed a remarkable growth over the last few years.
