640 runners partake in first race of 2019 edition of BeInspired Series
KUWAIT: The 2019 edition of the BeInspired Series launched with ‘BeInspired 2019 Road Run’ on February 2nd, 2019. Taking place at Al Murouj Phase 3, the successful first race of the series was a 7.2KM road race, that saw 640 runners, from 40 countries, test their physical and mental endurance. Sponsored by Gulf Bank, the race attracted runners from around the world, including the United States to the Republic of Korea.
Organised in partnership with long-standing Gulf Bank partner’s Pro-Vision Sports Management, the race kicked off at 7:30 am, with spectators settling at the new location of Al Murouj Phase 3. The numerous restaurants and cafes provided spectators with fantastic views of the runners as they crossed the finish line, creating an electric atmosphere of support and excitement. Ghada Hussein, CEO, Inspire Sahara Health Club, added: “The first event of the series was phenomenal, and we would like to thank Gulf Bank for their continued support, which is integral to our organisation of the BeInspired Series. Congratulations to all our runners and thank you to those who came out in support. We began the series in an effort to spread awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to inspire Kuwait to take a step in the right direction, and we hope to continue to spread that message and see you all at our next event!” Commenting on the race, Ahmad Al Amir, Assistant General Manager for External Communications, Gulf Bank, said: “Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who took part in the first event of the 2019 BeInspired Series. The next event in the series, is the BeInspired Mud Run, set to take place on Saturday 23rd, March 2019. Held at Murouj Phase 3, participants have the choice of either a 5km mud run, or a 5km obstacle. Registration is now open for the muddiest and sandiest run in Kuwait, sign up now.
The BeInspired Series was launched in 2016, created by Inspire Pure Fitness, a truly unique fitness experience, and has seen over 500 runners take place in previous editions.
