LAPA organizes concert for Arabic heritage band
In collaboration with the National Council For Culture, Arts and Liter (NCCAL), LOYAC’s Academy for Performance Arts (LAPA) recently organized a special concert for the Arabic heritage band to commemorate Kuwait’s National anniversaries. The concert was held at Abdul Hussein Abdul Redha theatre band and included fifty singers and musicians and was conducted by maestros Nisreen Nasser and Yousif Bara.
The band sang and played a number of traditional and national songs which were uniquely conducted with modern perceptions. The concert started with the national anthem and all the audience held Kuwaiti flags. The band also sang a new song produced by LOYAC, written by Abdul Aziz AlMeshari, music by Abdul Hameed Dehrab and sang by Abdul Aziz Al-Mesbah and Sheikhah Al-Ma’touq. Notably, LAPA’s Arabic heritage band was founded in 2016 to revive Arabic traditional singing patterns using modern music.
