KUWAIT: Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its main sponsorship of the 45th edition of the ‘Kuwait Al-Khair’ Charity Market organized by the International Islamic Charitable Organization’s Help Your Muslim Brother Committee. The event was held in Sheraton Kuwait Hotel under the patronage and presence of Minister of Social Affairs Saad Al-Kharraz.

Zain’s support to this charity event came in line with its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility Strategy that closely focuses on supporting national talents who own small businesses as well as in line with the company’s commitment towards supporting humanitarian and charity initiatives. The company strongly believes that such initiatives help infuse a sense of responsibility into members of the society, and help support those who are in need of help.

‘Kuwait Al-Khair’ charity market mainly aimed at gathering national talents who own unique small businesses to offer their products and services to visitors. The market featured over 30 booths, offering a wide range of products, including fashion, accessories, handcrafts, furniture, food, and more. Part of the event’s proceeds were dedicated to supporting underprivileged students in Kuwait under the supervision of the International Islamic Charitable Organization’s Help Your Muslim Brother Committee which organized the market.

Zain is committed to enrich the culture of giving and social contribution through launching charity campaigns and supporting such initiatives adopted by leading non-profit organizations inside and outside of Kuwait. Zain prides itself on its long track of records and contributions it has put in philanthropic areas over the years, being one of the leading companies in the private sector. During Ramadan of last year, Zain launched its humanitarian campaign entitled ‘Zain Al-Oyoon’ in partnership with Direct Aid and YouTube star Omar Farouq (Omar Tries). The campaign raised KD 32,000 within 5 days to build two camps for treating eye diseases, which benefited over 800 people in Africa. Zain was also the Platinum Partner of Nurture and Educate Students Today’s (NEST) educational campaign, entitled #Rock_Paper_Pen, which mainly aimed at raising donations for the benefit of building three new schools set to serve 820 students in the Republic of Chad.
