Amir patronizes, attends graduation ceremony of 402 police cadets

Graduates to join police force and protect Kuwait’s security: Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah

KUWAIT: The 45th batch of police cadets graduated yesterday from the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences. The graduation ceremony of 402 cadets - including 23 from Arab countries - was held under the patronage and attendance of His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. It was attended by over 2,000 of the cadets’ family members. Assistant Undersecre­tary for Training and Education Maj Gen Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah said the new cadets have graduated to join the police force and protect the security of the country. “The cadets have graduated as lieutenant­s with a bachelor’s degree in Security Sciences, and they look forward to serve our country,” he said.

The graduates of the 45th batch then handed over the flag of the academy to the cadets of the 46th batch. The General Director of the Academy Maj Gen Naser Burisli announced the names of the best cadets who graduated with the highest grades. He also mentioned the names of four cadets who died during their training period at the academy.

The graduates then entered the yard to take the oath in front of His Highness the Amir, who awarded the excelling cadets. The graduation ceremony concluded with the national anthem, after which the graduates rushed outside the main yard to receive greetings of their families, who welcomed them with flowers.

His Highness the Amir was received at the academy by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah and a number of top academy and ministry officials. Present with His Highness the Amir during the ceremony were His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah, Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq AlGhanem, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, chair of the Constituti­onal Court and Head of the Cassation Court Justice Yousef Jasem Al-Mutawa’a and senior state officials.
