Blind citizen releases audio copy of constitution

KUWAIT: A blind Kuwaiti named Abdul Rahman Ghareer Al-Adwani launched volume one of an audio copy of Kuwait’s constitution after he managed to record it all with his voice. Speaking at a press conference in Kaifan, Adwani expressed a desire to present his creative idea to HH the Amir himself.

Allegations refuted

Deputy director of the disabled authority for medical, psychological and social services Hanadi Al-Mebaileesh responded to recent social media videos showing a four-year old girl named Fajr, who suffers from kinetic disability and has allegedly been in Mubarak Hospital for three years after her family abandoned her and stopped visiting her. Mebaileesh said the authority verified the story and managed to contact the girl’s father through its ‘disabled friends teams’, and discovered that the social media report was false and that the child has a disability certificate issued by the authority.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Ports Authority strongly denied accusations on social media networks and accounts concerning allegations of squandering public funds through a tender to utilize and manage the parking lots at the ports’ complex building. It stressed that the tender had been legally administered and advertised in the official gazette on May 6, 2018, before Ali Alghanim and Sons won it.
