Kuwait delivers aid to refugees in Bosnia
KUWAIT: Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has distributed aid to refugees and immigrants in Bosnia Herzegovina in collaboration with the Bosnian Red Crescent. The head of the society expedition, Jassem Qambar, said in a press statement that a field team
handed over 5,000 food parcels, detergents, clothes and hot meals to the refugees and immigrants in several regions, including northeastern region of Tolisa, Sedra, southern city of Mostar and Boriza. There are, currently, some 5,000 immigrants, mostly from Pakistan, Syria, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq, settled in the country, according to official statistics. These foreigners, namely children, women and elderly, are in dire need for support. Qambar praised cooperation of the Kuwaiti Embassy and the Bosnian Red Crescent for delivering the relief supplies to those truly in need for help. — KUNA
