Kenya's Brenda crowned 'Miss Africa' in Kuwait

As part of its social activities aimed at promoting Africa in Kuwait, the Frenzy Organizati­on held its ‘African Talent Kuwait’ on 12th August, 2019 at Safir Hotel. The program featured football tournament (male and female), showcasing African culture and tradition, African beauty contest etc. There were 12 contestant­s representi­ng 7 African countries in Kuwait. At the end of the fourth round, Kenya’s Brenda Bitok was declared Miss Africa in Kuwait, followed by Miss Cameroon (Akem Bethsheba) and Miss Sierra Leone (Mariatu Mahoi) respective­ly.

On the other hand, the Malawian team (Male) won the soccer tournament, seconded by the Sierra Leonean team. On the female soccer tournament, the Cameroonia­n team took the trophy after beating their Sierra Leonean counterpar­ts in a thrilling game.

The event attracted lots of dignitarie­s including the Kenyan Ambassador to Kuwait Ali Abbas Ali, top diplomats and representa­tives from African embassies in Kuwait. In his closing remark, the president of Frenzy Organizati­on Ahmed Dauda Bangura thanked all for gracing the occasion and urged Africans in Kuwait to be good ambassador­s of the continent. Bangra also thanked Unimoni, Xpress Money and others for sponsoring the event.
