ICSK bags championship for the 18th consecutive year

Amidst huge exultation, the 21st CBSE Kuwait Cluster Meet was organized at the Amateur Athletic Federation Stadium Khaifan on 30th October 2019. A humungous number of around 1,300 athletes from 17 schools across the country participated in the meet comprising of around 56 events including track and field. Dr V Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK Senior, and Baldwin Faive, Principal Al AMal School, inaugurated the meet.

Arul Dharamaraj, CBSE Kuwait Chapter Convenor, declared the cluster meet open in the presence of various CBSE school Principals in Kuwait. The Sports Cluster meet that traversed across 3 days, that is from 30th October 2019 to 1st November 2019. The Indian Community School Kuwait, has won the CBSE cluster meet for the record 18th consecutive year with a groundbreaking lead score of 428 points. The second position was bagged by United Indian School, with 263 points and the third position was won by Gulf Indian School with 237 points. The 35 gold, 16 silver and 4 bronze medals achieved by the skillful children of ICSK brought a huge successful score of 428 points. ICSK’s triumph as champions for the successive 18th year is the biggest highlight of this year’s cluster meet.

The ICSK Under-14 girls ‘created a new meet record in 4x100 m relay in this meet and 7 ICSK athletes bagged individual championships also. The champions of ICSK got selected for the CBSE National Athletic Competition that is going to be organized in Chattisgarh, India from 26th to 30th November 2019.

The whole management of ICSK congratulated and applauded the members of the Physical Education Department for the new feat. ICSK has always promoted sports and sportsman spirit in its children as it believes in the caliber of its children and helps them achieve their dreams to the fullest. The valedictory function was graced by Principals of various CBSE schools in Kuwait and the meet was declared closed.
