Info minister congratulates SIIF’s Kuwaiti winners
KUWAIT: Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri congratulated Kuwaiti inventors Dr Mishari Al-Mutairi and Sara Abu Arjeeb, on receiving the Golden Award at Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2019, for their inventions in the health and environmental fields. Jabri said yesterday that he was proud that both inventors won. Jabri added that this win puts Kuwait in the record of creative inventors, underlining that young Kuwaitis are highly talented and creative. This win also reflects the attention paid by Kuwait to young people, especially the creative and distinguished, he pointed out. Engineer Abu Arjeeb received the Golden Award for her invention ‘detector of bone fractures,’ while Engineer AlMutairi received the same award for his invention ‘treatment of oil contaminated soil,’ at South Korean capital Seoul last Wednesday. The Patent Office of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council chose many inventor candidates to partake in SIIF, including those two inventors.
