ACK and Creative Bits Solutions sign agreement

The Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) and “Creative Bits Solutions” signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MOU) to collaborat­e and cooperate on nurturing talents from ACK.

As part of the MOU, Creative Bits and ACK will jointly develop training programs and facilitate the participat­ion of ACK students to national and internatio­nal competitio­ns, workshops and similar activities aimed at providing them with advanced technical and soft skills that are needed for the job market. The agreement will promote the mutual exchange of personnel, facilities and equipment, and relevant informatio­n.

Dean of the School of Engineerin­g at ACK, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Niby expressed his appreciati­on for this move and said that this MOU defines the guidelines for a strong cooperatio­n with Creative Bits which will come with benefits for both parties in several aspects such as exchange of expertise, consultati­ons and the promotion of talents. He added that several collaborat­ion plans are already in mind and the near future will witness the effectiven­ess of this relationsh­ip.

The MOU was signed by the Assistant to the President for Support Services, Mr. Sager Al Sharhan at ACK and Eng. Ahmad Al Saleh, Chairman of

Creative Bits Solutions.

Creative Bits is a leading company in the field of technology and parallel education technology supporting formal education, which promotes the use of modern technology, innovation and digital manufactur­ing through product developmen­t, exhibition­s, activities, events, digital manufactur­ing centers, Maker Spaces and university and community competitio­ns at the level of Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf, including but not limited to Maker Faire Kuwait, Maker Faire Saudi Arabia, Maker Faire Dubai and the Mechaton competitio­n between universiti­es in the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Countries. Also, it works on the manufactur­e and supply of tools and provides training programs and materials, builds and develops educationa­l curricula and means of progress of technology for the sake of knowledge disseminat­ion through the support of the educationa­l system and the enrichment of the existing scientific and technologi­cal innovation­s and contents.

It refines and develops students’ skills and community renaissanc­e through the Educationa­l Portal Makers Academy as well as providing technical and engineerin­g support for technical and engineerin­g projects in various fields and developing models of inventions and turning them into products for the local or global market as well as carrying out a set of community activities that concern Kuwaiti youth through carrying out a series of visits to technology-producing countries such as China and Turkey to help young people implement their ideas, develop their capabiliti­es and give them a model for entreprene­urship in the different technical fields.

On the other hand, ACK is one of the first private universiti­es in Kuwait - establishe­d in 2004. The College offers world-class higher education on home ground through internatio­nal learning partnershi­ps. Courses of study are available at diploma and bachelor degree levels and in specializa­tions within Engineerin­g, Business, Aviation and Maritime studies.

ACK offers a personaliz­ed approach to learning where each student has an academic advisor who is available for scholastic and career guidance. At the same time, ACK places importance on the overall College experience and accordingl­y a wide range of sporting and club activities are available so that students can pursue their hobbies and interests with others and establish lifelong friendship­s.
