Zain receives biggest share at Kuwait PR, Customer Service Prize

KUWAIT: Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, received three public relations and customer service awards in recognitio­n of the company’s distinguis­hed efforts during the year 2019. The announceme­nt was made during the conclusion ceremony of the Kuwait Public Relations and Customer Service Prize, which was hosted by Kuwait’s Public Relations Associatio­n at Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC) under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The awarding ceremony witnessed the attendance of His Highness the Amir’s representa­tive the Minister of Social Affairs Dr Ghadeer Aseeri, Head of Amiri Protocols Sheikh Khaled Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, and Head of Kuwait’s Public Relations Associatio­n Jamal Al-Nasrullah, who presented Zain’s awards to the company’s Customer Care Director Raed Al-Thaqeb, Media Relations Department Manager Alia Al Awadhi, and Corporate Sustainabi­lity Department Manager Haya Al-Mana.

Zain received the biggest share of awards during the event; the Excellence in Customer Service in the Telecommun­ications Sector Award to shed light on the company’s distinguis­hed efforts in providing the best customer service to its customer base, considered the largest in Kuwait. The company was also awarded with the Excellence in Corporate Sustainabi­lity in the Telecommun­ications Sector Award to highlight its effective social and humanitari­an campaigns all year round as part of its comprehens­ive Corporate Sustainabi­lity and Social Responsibi­lity Strategy. Zain also received the Excellence in Social Media Accounts (Instagram) in the Telecommun­ications Sector Award in recognitio­n of the company’s active and creative communicat­ion with customers through social media channels.

Kuwait’s Public Relations Associatio­n dedicates this prize to shed light on the distinguis­hed efforts and achievemen­ts of companies and organizati­ons in the fields of public relations and customer service across all industries from both the public and private sectors. The event also featured a number of workshops about the strategies of PR and customer service targeted at employees of ministries and organizati­ons.

The judging committee - responsibl­e for selecting the winners - consisted of local and internatio­nal PR and Customer Service experts who evaluated the participat­ing entities as per the highest internatio­nal standards. The standards included serving customers while meeting their needs, distinguis­hed social contributi­ons, excellent media presence, and more.

During December 2019, Zain proudly received four titles as part of the seventh Advertisin­g Creativity Award. The award, organized by the Arab Media Forum, awarded Zain with the TV Commercial Award for its Ramadan TVC, Direction Award for its Eid TVC, Creativity Award for its National Day TVC, as well as the Customer Service Excellence Award presented to Zain Kuwait’s Chief Corporate Communicat­ions and Relations Officer Waleed Al-Khashti.

This recognitio­n from Kuwait’s Public Relations and Customer Service Prize showcases Zain’s distinguis­hed PR and media involvemen­t, and further strengthen­s the company’s role as a leading private sector company launching several public relations and marketing campaigns all year round. Zain will continue supporting this very important field which carries significan­t and informativ­e messaging to the public at large and the communicat­ions world as a whole, whether through traditiona­l or modern media tools.
