Diplomat praises Saudi leaders for successful Umrah
JEDDAH: The Kuwait Consul General in Saudi Arabia city (Jeddah) and its permanent representative to the organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mohammed Al-Mutairi, said on Saturday that the consulate has made all efforts and provided all facilities to serve Kuwaiti Umrah pilgrims in the holy month, especially on the last Friday of Ramadan, stressing that the success of the Umrah season in Ramadan “calls for pride.”
Consul Al-Mutairi explained in a statement to the Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA) that the efforts to serve Kuwaiti Umrah pilgrims in the holy month of Ramadan came under the direct directives of Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and follow-up from Deputy Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in coordination with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, in line with the plans of the Saudi authorities for the last ten days of Ramadan.
He added that the Umrah season this year was exceptional in all matters, including the services provided and the plans implemented. He expressed his congratulations to the Saudi political leadership on the success of the Umrah season this year and thanked them for their follow-up and their keenness to perform Umrah rituals easily and conveniently and to provide all possibilities for the comfort of the guests. Makkah witnessed the influx of millions of worshippers, Umrah worshippers, and visitors yesterday who came to perform the last Friday prayers of Ramadan amid an integrated system of religious services that enable worshippers to worship easily.
