Amir receives call from UAE President affirming solid support

KUWAIT: HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a telephone call early on Saturday from President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The UAE President affirmed that the UAE stands with Kuwait with respect to all measures and decisions it has taken to maintain its stability. Sheikh Mohammad assured HH the Amir that he views stability of Kuwait and the UAE as intertwined due to the solid brotherly relations, beseeching Almighty Allah to preserve Kuwait, the country’s bounty of security, safety and stability under the sagacious leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Reciprocating, HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal expressed gratitude to the UAE President for the gracious gesture, his true brotherly sentiments that mirror depth of the good and brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples. HH the Amir expressed good wishes to the UAE so it may witness further progress, prosperity and development under the wise leadership of Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the President of the sisterly UAE.

Separately, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya said Kuwait strongly appreciates its partnerships with neighboring and friendly countries, as part of the country’s stable policies towards regional and international events. In a statement to KUNA on Saturday, Yahya noted that Kuwait is exerting great efforts to enhance its regional and leadership role on key issues.

The recent visits of HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal to friendly countries are part of Kuwait’s deep historical ties with its partners, said the minister. He added HH the Amir’s visits included talks on key regional and international political topics, mainly the situation in Gaza. During the visits, HH Sheikh Mishal also signed several agreements and memorandums of understanding, related to the economy and investment, Yahya said.
