In continued support of Kuwaiti students’ growth and development

KUWAIT: Burgan Bank recently sponsored the annual “Art’s Night” event, organized by the American United School (AUS) for its community of teachers, students, and their families. Similar to previous “Art’s Night” events, this year’s gave students a platform to express themselves authentically through different arts while offering visitors numerous engaging activities that made for an excellent bonding experience between students and their parents.

Burgan Bank’s renewed sponsorship of the annual event comes as part of its comprehensive social responsibility program and its unwavering commitment to the holistic development of students across all educational levels in Kuwait. Commenting on the Bank’s sponsorship, Talal Hamed Al-Ayar, Senior Officer of Corporate and CSR Communications, said: “We are very proud of the AUS community for their continued efforts to create safe and encouraging spaces where students can unleash their artistic energies and express themselves in a supportive atmosphere.

It was such a delight to sponsor yet another successful ‘Art’s Night’ event and be present on the ground among AUS’s lively community as they cheered young talents on and bonded over a variety of engaging activities. As part of our dedicated social responsibility program, we are committed to supporting all individual and group efforts that aim to foster young Kuwaiti talents and help them pave the way toward a bright future marked with growth and success.”

The event garnered many visitors who came together for a night of appreciating “Global Rhythms and Flavors” through live performances, including a musical performance by MSHS band, as well as other solo instrumental and vocal performances, not to mention the drama theater performance that centered on the same theme. Visitors also enjoyed a delicious corner of international foods from Brazil, China, the Philippines, India, Kuwait, Mexico, and Turkey.

In addition to the rhythms and flavors, students and parents also had the opportunity to share several engaging “Make and Take” art activities, such as puffy paint, wire figurine making, canvas bag painting, screen printing, aluminum sculpturing, postcard making, and badge making.

In an attempt to add an extra layer of value to the community event, Burgan representatives shared vital banking awareness and financial literacy information with parents and students, especially regarding the safest use of banking cards and online payments, which many teenagers and young adults rely on today. This comes under the umbrella of Burgan Bank’s continued support for the “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya) banking campaign, launched in 2021 by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA), with the support of Kuwaiti banks.

It serves to note that Burgan Bank remains one of the most active contributors to the advancement of arts and culture in Kuwait, whether across small communities, such as AUS, or through more public events, such as Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah’s (DAI) seasonal festivals. This stems from its firm belief that the preservation of the Kuwaiti identity and authentic heritage is a stepping stone for a brighter cultural and economic future for Kuwait.
