Latvia shipped 11.7% more oil products in Q1 2018
As part of the postponed excise tax payment regime, the volume of oil products shipped from Latvia in Q1 2018 was 13,869 or 11.7% larger than the one recorded in the same period of 2017, according to data compiled by the State Revenue Service.
In Q1, businessmen shipped a total of 132,717 tonnes from excise tax warehouses in Latvia with a postponed excise tax payment regime. Most oil products were shipped to other EU member states. The volume of diesel fuel shipped to other countries was 62,492 tonnes in Q1 2018, which is 2,645 tonnes or 4.1% more when compared to the same period of last year.
The volume of liquefied gas shipped to other countries in Q1 increased by 21% and was 40,114 tonnes.
The volume of bio-diesel fuel shipped to other countries grew 2.3 times, reaching 16,561 tonnes, whereas the volume of bio-petrol shipped to other countries declined 22% and was 6,388 tonnes.
