Latvia shipped 11.7% more oil prod­ucts in Q1 2018

As part of the post­poned ex­cise tax pay­ment regime, the vol­ume of oil prod­ucts shipped from Latvia in Q1 2018 was 13,869 or 11.7% larger than the one recorded in the same pe­riod of 2017, ac­cord­ing to data com­piled by the State Rev­enue Ser­vice.

In Q1, busi­ness­men shipped a to­tal of 132,717 tonnes from ex­cise tax ware­houses in Latvia with a post­poned ex­cise tax pay­ment regime. Most oil prod­ucts were shipped to other EU mem­ber states. The vol­ume of diesel fuel shipped to other coun­tries was 62,492 tonnes in Q1 2018, which is 2,645 tonnes or 4.1% more when com­pared to the same pe­riod of last year.

The vol­ume of liq­ue­fied gas shipped to other coun­tries in Q1 in­creased by 21% and was 40,114 tonnes.

The vol­ume of bio-diesel fuel shipped to other coun­tries grew 2.3 times, reach­ing 16,561 tonnes, whereas the vol­ume of bio-petrol shipped to other coun­tries de­clined 22% and was 6,388 tonnes.
