One of Tallinn’s key malls set to expand and add new facilities
Ulemiste Keskus, a large shopping center situated in the area of Tallinn Airport, has decided to build an extension of 13,000 square meters by spring 2019, which will feature a cinema, gym, as well as a number of new restaurants and stores, and will cost 35 million euros.
“After the previous extension of the center we felt that something is missing. There is not enough entertainment. We are not aspiring to reach the level of Hong Kong or Paris, but in the shopping centers of the Baltic countries, a cinema is the epitome of entertainment,” head of Ulemiste Keskus, Guido Parnits, said.
Construction work will start at the end of 2017 and work is expected to be finished by spring 2019. The present store area of 69,000 square meters of Ulemiste Keskus will increase by a fifth. The new extension of the building will be built above the Rimi hypermarket.
