Estonia to improve officials’ awareness of cyber threats
The Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) is about to launch the Cybexer cyber hygiene online training platform enabling public sector employees to test and improve their awareness of possible dangers of the digital environment.
“The biggest threat in the cyber environment is the behavior of users. A person in front of the screen should understand the risks related to negligent actions,” said the Director General of RIA, Taimar Peterkop. “In view of constantly intensifying cyberattacks, it is imperative that we improve the cyber hygiene awareness of Estonian public officials.”
Cybexer is a cyber hygiene training environment developed in Estonia and well accepted in the international defense sector, which puts users face to face with actual real-life situations and events. Simple and play-like tests of the environment allow to improve people’s awareness regarding potential dangers of the Internet.
The training environment is developed by Cybexer Technologies OU. The founders of the company are BHC Laboratory and Bytelife Solutions – which are both members of the Estonian Defense Industry Association.
