Estonia's industrial confidence indicators fall in August
The confidence index of Estonian industrial enterprises fell 2 points month over month to 11 points in August, compared with 8 points registered for August 2016, data available from the Estonian Institute of Economic Research shows. The expectation concerning an increase in output volumes soared 14 points to 28 points, while the indicator was at 24 points in August 2016.
The assessment of managers, when it comes to inventories, rose to -6 points in August from -12 points in July, and -6 points in August 2016. The assessment of current demand fell from 13 points in July to -1 points in August, having been -5 points in August 2016.
The confidence index of the construction sector fell 1 point to 19 points in August, compared with 0 points in August 2016. Construction companies' assessment of their order portfolio increased 5 points to 16 points. The indicator had been -10 points in August 2016.
Construction companies' expectation as to the number of employees in the coming three months fell 7 points to 22 points in August. The indicator had been 10 points in August 2016.
