Nina Nev­er­land


Nina was born in Graz, Aus­tria and in 2005 ven­tured west to Mu­nich to study pho­tog­ra­phy and hone her craft. Af­ter a dis­sat­is­fy­ing stint as a prod­uct pho­tog­ra­pher, she turned to the fash­ion and beauty in­dus­try, where she has been mak­ing a name for her­self as a free­lancer, while tak­ing plea­sure in trav­el­ling around the world and con­nect­ing with like-minded, cre­ative types. The 24 year-old up-and-comer shot our fe­male shoot this is­sue, cap­tur­ing a melan­choly that re­sides in all of us and the non­con­formist fash­ion at­ti­tude that it in­spires. Af­ter grad­u­at­ing from the Univer­sity of Cape Town with dis­tinc­tions in fi­nan­cial ac­count­ing and clas­si­cal pi­ano stud­ies, Eu­gene made an un­likely ca­reer switch into brand­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­tions, even­tu­ally build­ing a busi­ness as an award­win­ning writer. He has now writ­ten for over 70 dif­fer­ent pub­li­ca­tions around the world and, last year, ac­com­plished his per­sonal goal of read­ing the 100 great­est books of all time be­fore he turned 30. In this, is­sue, he speaks to one of the world’s most pur­pose-driven en­trepreneurs, Jochen Zeitz.
