A rugged phone built under licence by British mobile phone company Bullitt
The S60 is a smartphone by CAT, as in Caterpillar the construction construction equipment manufacturer. Crafted from stainless steel and carbon fibre, it’s incredibly robust – built to survive drops onto concrete from as heigh as 1.8 metres and work underwater at depths of up to 5 metres. It’s also the first smartphone to come with a thermographic forward looking infrared (FLIR) camera, which is something more usually associated with military aircraft. There’s more. The 600 USD phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, features a Snapdragon 617 processor that’s fast enough to run just about anything you want to bring up on the 4.7-inch, 720p screen. There’s 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and a 3,800 mah battery that’ll allow you to go two days without charging.
