Over 40 ho­tels set to open in Mo­rocco in the next three years

Ac­cord­ing to the Tophotel­con­struc­tion data­base, 10 new ho­tel projects will de­but in Mo­rocco in 2018. They will be fol­lowed by 11 in 2019, six in 2020, and 17 in 2021. Sixty-four per­cent of th­ese projects fall into the lux­ury des­ig­na­tion, while an­other 36 per­cent are con­sid­ered to be first class. Key open­ings in­clude the Ritz-carl­ton Ta­muda Bay, which is ex­pected to be com­pleted later in 2018, with 300 rooms. Swis­so­tel Casablanca is an­other open­ing an­tic­i­pated in Q3 2019, of­fer­ing 300 rooms. One of the ban­ner projects cur­rently un­der­way in Mo­rocco is the Ma­rina Re­sort Ch­bika. This project is slated to be com­plete by the se­cond quar­ter of 2020 and will have 2,500 rooms. The lat­ter re­sort has been mas­ter-planned to in­clude three or more ho­tels, as well as 1,851 apart­ments and vil­las, a town cen­ter, a ma­rina that has berths for 100 boats, a sports cen­ter, a spa, a med­i­cal cen­ter and what’s been de­scribed by many as a tour­na­ment-wor­thy golf course.
