Di­wan Al Muhanna spreads Mid­dle East­ern kind­ness

Es­tab­lished in 1935, Di­wan Al Muhanna is to­day one of the old­est Le­van­tine sweet pro­duc­tion lines in the re­gion. The com­pany builds on and de­vel­ops its tra­di­tional recipes to cre­ate pre­mium Le­van­tine sweets, Da­m­a­scene cook­ies, con­fec­tionery, Mid­dle East­ern fresh pas­tries, frozen prod­ucts and gift items, as well as pri­vate la­bels for the Mid­dle East, GCC, Europe and the US. Dis­cussing the com­pany’s present and fu­ture plans, Tarek Al Muhanna said, “Our new­est prod­uct is called Kri­cant, a high­vi­ta­min date bar, spe­cially cre­ated in part­ner­ship with the UN, which is aimed for dis­tri­bu­tion among Syr­ian refugees through­out the re­gion and meets nu­tri­tional needs for a 24-hour pe­riod.” On the sub­ject of the ever-grow­ing healthy life­style trend, he added that the com­pany was up­grad­ing some of its equip­ment to pro­duce high-fiber sugar and gluten-free sweets with an al­most iden­ti­cal taste. “Fu­ture plans cur­rently un­der con­sid­er­a­tion in­clude an F&B train­ing cen­ter and a new restau­rant brand, in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Chef Joe Barza,” Al Muhanna added.
