This year’s event is set to wel­come more than 30,000 lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional vis­i­tors from Novem­ber 27-29. In­deed, hav­ing cel­e­brated seven suc­cess­ful edi­tions, Saudi HORECA is a gate­way for those look­ing to ex­plore the busi­ness po­ten­tial of the re­gion and tap into the lu­cra­tive Saudi mar­ket.

“We have around 15,000 square me­ters of ex­hi­bi­tion space, which is around 20 per­cent more than pre­vi­ous years,” says Jad Tak­tak, gen­eral man­ager of Se­mark, the or­ga­nizer of the show. “The coun­try’s hos­pi­tal­ity and foodservice sec­tors are con­tin­u­ing to grow and we are notic­ing it at HORECA.”

In­deed, 2018 will see a record num­ber of in­ter­na­tional pav­il­ions at the event. Sev­en­teen coun­tries in­clud­ing France, China, Sri Lanka, In­dia, Italy, Jor­dan, Le­banon, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Poland, Tu­nisia, Czech Repub­lic, South Korea, Aus­tralia, New Zealand and Turkey, will bring their lead­ing com­pa­nies and prod­ucts to the fore­front.

“Be­sides be­ing a strate­gic meet­ing place and pro­vid­ing our vis­i­tors with ex­cel­lent net­work­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties, we are com­mit­ted to high­light­ing the skills of ris­ing tal­ents through com­pe­ti­tions,” says Tak­tak.

More than 250 par­tic­i­pants will com­pete in the renowned Hos­pi­tal­ity Salon Culi­naire in a bid to im­press a panel of in­ter­na­tional judges, while the first edi­tion of the Barista Com­pe­ti­tion and the Bed Mak­ing Com­pe­ti­tion will also be tak­ing place.
