Kitchen Design
A clear-cut and structured mind
Dori Hitti's modern kitchens
The designs of Dori Hitti , architect and designer of Le Cercle bear all the hallmarks of simple European style and lean towards the Italian way of doing things. Italy was, after all, the country in which Dori Hitti chose to study at the Accademia delle Belle Arti where he later specialized in Arredamento progettazione di interni (interior design) at the city’s Palazzo Spinelli School.
Synonymous with the pureness of design, elite interior designer and architect Dori Hitti shares his kitchen design projects with Taste & Flavors
On his return to his native Lebanon he built up a reputation as a leading interior designer known for working with clients from concept through to building to attain their dream spaces. His talent for creating exceptionally beautiful and high quality designs with a unique twist of individualism have won him many high profile projects in the Middle East, Europe and U.S.A, spanning the domains of residential apartments and villas, to yacht interiors, boutiques, spas, restaurants, hotels and many others.
Hitti’s projects reflect the concept of clean and simple lines and he translates them into workable, successful projects; a process more diff icult than it seems. “The definition of an expert is someone who knows what not to do,” says Hitti in his stylized office in Zouk Mikael, a Beirut suburb. “There is always a need for pure design. With pure design, you don't need much decoration.
According to Hitti, good design begins with honesty. Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects,” he says. Hitti goes on to talk about how simplicity is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful. “Communication that doesn't take a chance doesn't stand a chance,” he adds. “Design must tell a story.”
