From her new book "Must.love.guests: Let Your Inner Hostess Shine", Michèle, (currently a partner and concept developer at al Mandaloun) gives us a modern take on hosting etiquette, designing unique tables that reflect personal taste and style. By transforming everyday objects into beautiful, decorative pieces, she creates a warm ambiance and a specific theme for every occasion you can imagine.

In Country Garden, various elements from different cultures yield a beautiful eclectic whole. From her country home in Baabdat, Michèle creates a unique setting to entertain her own guests, with details she harmoniously brings together. many more objects to create a fusion between the Orient and occident. The idea behind the theme is to dare to create a table, outside of a typical location. The color scheme is more of an earth tone. The "sous-plats" (charger plates) used are made of natural wood and the color of the plates is beige. The cutlery is also beige and I added the red and blue color combination to create a contrast.

Let celebrated designer, author and world-traveler,

The fabric used on the table is embroidered with Arabic quotes, such as “Ahla w Sahla” (welcome) and “Sahten” ( bonappetit). The bread basket is designed with Arabic and French quotes and contains the traditional Lebanese kaak, French baguettes and grissinis (bread sticks).
