No Gluten, No Problem with Tamara Antaki Traboulsi of Polygel For The Homebaker

Having kids and a full-time career at the same time is tough. Doing it right and having to manage a gluten intolerance is even tougher! To get an idea of how a superwoman like Tamara manages it all, we stopped by her husband’s office, where Ryan, 8 years old and Andrew, 5 years old, were ready to help mom put the last minute sprinkles on the cake. Besides raising her two boys, Tamara works for her family owned company Polygel, which supplies raw materials for pastry to the food service industry. A year and a half ago she launched Polygel for the Homebaker with her brother Jad and sister in law Nathalie. “I recently started baking healthy and tasty desserts with the ingredients that we sell. Most of my recipes are gluten free because of my husband’s intolerance to wheat. If kids are involved in the kitchen, they'll be more likely to try new foods, especially when they’re covered in chocolate,” she said.
