Health Code drops ‘shield’ to free up space for rapid antigen test results

- RENATO MARQUES

THE local Health Code has been recently optimized to include the display of rapid antigen test results, as well as a new platform for the submission of rapid antigen test results, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center announced.

To make room for these new items, health authorities have removed some graphics previously displayed, such as the “immunization shield,” a representation of vaccination status shown via a colored frame surrounding the QR code.

According to the center, the graphics provided repeated information and were taking up unnecessary screen space needed for other functionality.

Citizens can now upload the results of rapid antigen tests via the link to the declaration platform (https://app.ssm.gov.mo/ generalrat) located at the bottom of the Health Code homepage, with options for “positive,” “negative” or “uncertain” test results.

If the test result is negative, the rapid antigen test text will be displayed in blue and the QR code on the Health Code will be displayed in green. If the test is positive, the text will be displayed in red and the QR code will also turn red.

If the test result is “uncertain,” this means that the result was inconclusive and no information will be displayed.

The rapid antigen test area will also show test results from the previous three days. If multiple test results have been submitted, it will only display the most recent result.
