LONGINES CELEBRATES GOLD COAST 2018
Proud to have been the official timekeeper of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Longines captured a total of nine recordbreaking performances and over 100 Commonwealth Games records during the 11 days of competition. The success of the multi-sport event was marked with a star-studded closing ceremony attended by the watch brand’s Ambassador of Elegance and actor Simon Baker, adorned with the games’ official timepiece, Conquest V.H.P. Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, a special edition of the V.H.P. (Very High Precision) model. Friends of the Brand who visited the Longines Records Club throughout the games included Aussie sporting stars Amy Pejkovic, Cam McEvoy, Charlie Taylor and more. At the Longines Records Ceremonies, the watchmaker celebrated the world record-breaking athletes by awarding each a personal certificate of achievement, a Conquest V.H.P. Gold Coast timepiece and a AUD$500 donation in his name to UNICEF.
