ASSISTING REFEREES ON THE WRIST

The Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia has already been tested discreetly on the wrist of the referees many times during the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and FIFA Club World Cup 2017. 2018 marks the very first World Cup in which the referees are supported by video assistance, wearing the Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia with its smart technology. On top of all the aforementioned functions, the referees wearing the smart watch will be connected to goal-line technology, an electronic video assistance system for refereeing which follows all the trajectories of the ball and determines for certain if the ball did or did not entirely cross the goal line.

From Saint Petersburg to Moscow via Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saransk, Sochi and Volgograd, Hublot will be ever more present across the 12 stadiums where the 32 teams compete in 64 matches by sequencing time, changes and extra time to the rhythm of its Big Bang-shaped referee boards.

STARS OF HUBLOT LOVES FOOTBALL 2018

Made up of football’s living legends, the Hublot Loves Football 2018 campaign sees 16 of the top players, coaches and referees unite in the same, single spirit̶that of love for football.

Pelé

The youngest player to have won a FIFA World Cup and the only triple champion in the world to achieve it with the Brazilian team. The UN and UNESCO ambassador has forever impacted football with his unmatched performances. He won the world over with his memorable two goals in the 1958 FIFA World Cup final against Sweden, with his famous flick and again in the 1970 final, when he scored a header marking Brazil’s 100th goal in the FIFA World Cup. His exceptional track record is only equaled by his extraordinary humanity. On becoming a champion, the King of Football shared, “In order to be a champion, you have to respect others and never think you are the best.”

Diego Maradona

The architect of Argentina’s victory at the FIFA World Cup in 1986. Scoring the winning goal, Maradona achieved his childhood dream and the dream of his nation! The footballer, who played with Napoli for over seven seasons, gave the city two league titles, one Italian Cup and one UEFA Cup, and remains a hero among the people of Naples. His advice to aspiring champions, “To become a champion, you must never give up and never stop training. Above all, you have to respect your parents as they are the best advisors for your career.”

José Mourinho

With two UEFA Cups, two Champions Leagues,

dahmakan also operates its own delivery system with their own riders, which made their service more cost-effective and efficient. Weins recalls his team working on the delivery route manually in the early days, which took up a lot of time. “Gradually, we managed to automate that system. Now our delivery management system not only plans out the schedule but also helps find the most efficient routes within a few minutes.”

Although the concept of dahmakan was to provide customers with high-quality meals at their doorstep, Weins admits the focus was to primarily build customers’ trust. “They know they’re getting good food made with proper and healthy ingredients prepared by

great chefs. But we also made it a point to list down the nutritional information and list the ingredients so our customers can check if any of them would trigger any allergies,” he adds. “All of this are basically what modern consumers want̶they want to know what they’re eating and putting into their body.”

Food Revolution & Evolution

Another huge advantage dahmakan has is its diverse and ever-changing menu, which is populated by western and Asian dishes. Despite this, it’s not surprising to note that the go-to dish for most of dahmakan’s customers is the Nasi Lemak. “Yes, the Nasi Lemak has always been our bestseller. I think it’s normal for the customer to have a preference for a dish they know and love. We try our best to provide that in all our dishes but with healthier and unique twists.”

Over the course of the last few months, dahmakan has certainly surged in popularity and the company has certainly experienced tremendous growth but Weins admits he is pleasantly surprised at the response. “We had a concept. We wanted to serve hundreds of thousands of people in the city but it was a tall order. However, today we’re moving thousands of meals a day. We had these amazing ideas, but we also had to prove that they could work. So fortunately we now know it wasn’t a stupid idea!”

Evolution is vital to any business and looking ahead, Weins reveals dahmakan is looking to expand its offerings and perhaps its services to different markets. “We started out focusing on office lunches but through customer demand expanded our service to dinner and now we also deliver on weekends. Customers can now order their food within 45-minutes or up to two weeks in advance,” he explains. Weins reveals that there are inquiries coming in from other states like Penang and Johor Bahru, but operationally, dahmakan is not looking to branch itself into these markets just yet.

“We don’t want to rush it,” he says. “It will be on our road map for 2019, perhaps, but we want to make sure that we will be able to sustain the model in these states first. We need to study the market there and work out the delivery as well as food production issues first before undertaking any expansion so that we don’t spread ourselves too thin.”

For now, dahmakan is focused on supplying the greater Klang Valley with its delicious food offerings. “Customers are now ordering more frequently, and we believe that in the next couple of years we may see dahmakan evolve into an outsourced chef or kitchen,” he adds. “Ultimately, we want dahmakan to be the number one choice when it comes to food̶from breakfast to lunch, to dinner and even snacks.” AM
