150 YEARS IN RETROSPECT
Having reached its sesquicentenary, IWC celebrated its rich history with a two-week public exhibition of 10 of the most iconic historical timepieces by the Schaffhausen-based manufacture, specially curated to provide visitors with a first-hand discovery of the legacy of founder Florentine Ariosto Jones and the development of the company’s watch-making knowhow. Held at ION Orchard, Singapore and launched by Stanislas Rambaud, IWC SEA’s MD, together with esteemed master watchmaker and guest of honour Ku Klaus, the exhibition also showcased the new limited-edition 29-reference-strong Jubilee collection, and fu her immersed guests in IWC’s history with the show-stopping “Time Machine” structure whose design was inspired by the inhouse manufactured Calibre 94200 equipped in the new IWC Tribute to Pallweber wrist and pocket watches. The anniversary celebration continued the next evening in the form of a cocktail pa y at Cargo 39 on Singapore’s industrial water front. Hosted by TV and fitness personality Liv Lo (@livvlo), guests who included clients, corporate and retail pa ners, and entrepreneurial influencers were treated to live pe ormances by The Countdown Band; gastronomical demonstrations by Chef’s Table; and a live monogramming station by The General
Co, which recalled the classical savoir-faire of
Swiss cra smen that captivated Jones into moving from Boston to Schaffhausen in 1868. The Jubilee collection was displayed across the warehouse, specially customised to evoke the manufacture’s rustic and industrial style in its early days.
