Renowned celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen franchise from London has landed in Singapore

YOU KNOW OF the prominent potty-mouthed celebrity chef from famed reality television programs such as Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Hell, various continental renditions of MasterChef, and the most recent 24 Hours to Hell and Back. Now is your chance to savour food that is up to par of his standards, without the fear of stepping into a restaurant that’s just lining up to be in one of his television shows.

From its humble beginnings at One

New Change in London, to the succeeding ones at Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong and

The Palm in Dubai, the highly anticipated Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen is now available but just across the Causeway, offering classic British European fare amidst a lively and bustling space.

Located at the South Promenade of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, the two-storey restaurant and bar emits the brand’s industrial roots from East London, while overlooking the calming Marina Bay waterfront.

The Industrial Framework

In keeping with the East London industrialinspired setting, the playful black and white tiles gives the establishment its geometric patterned flooring. A woven orange checkered board ceiling brings warmth and dimension to the glass enclosure to the exposed pipework, wire mesh and black mirrors, complemented by the tufted banquet and dark-stained timber.

The collaged walkway of authentic Singaporean manholes are a playful reference to the actual ‘street’ in Bread

Street Kitchen. On the other hand, the blackand-white photos of St Paul’s Cathedral hanging on the wall allude to the location of “Bread Street” within the old City of London, which has an immaculate view of the morethan-300-year-old historical building from the rooftop terrace of One New Change.

The Characteristic Savour

Led by executive chef Sabrina Stillhart, who has been with the Gordon Ramsay Group for almost a decade, and one of the team members from the “OG” Bread Street Kitchen, one of the latest chapters at Marina Bay Sands strives further in staying true to its London concept, by tapping on British artisanal products and seasonal fare, while working with local ingredients to deliver a globally inspired menu.

Signature dishes include the slow roasted Dingley Dell pork belly drenched in spiced apple puree, and the BSK short rib beef burger pressed between melted Monterey Jack cheese and spicy sriracha mayo in brioche buns̶favourites that are guaranteed to keep you filled and energised.

Besides that, starters that are similarly distinctive include the King Crab Cocktail with apple and pink peppercorn and Tamarind Spiced Chicken Wings; Salmon Ceviche with ruby grapefruit and Seared Scallops with carrot puree, treacle bacon and celery cress; as well as Potted Salt

Beef Brisket with grain mustard, piccalilli, buckwheat crackers. Whereas hot from the grill comes savoury dishes such as the Roasted Baby Chicken with chimichurri and burnt lemon, and the hearty Irish Rib-Eye 28 days aged.

Choose to finish off your gastronomic experience with classic British desserts: Chocolate Fondant with salted caramel and mint chocolate chip ice cream; Bread and Butter Pudding with sultanas, cinnamon; and Banana Sticky Toffee Pudding with muscovado caramel, clotted cream.

Alternatively, keep the party going at the venue’s focal point to the left of the walkway entrance: the “interactive” bar that pays tribute to the mezzanine wine cellar in the London location, with its brass erie industrial fusion of localsu ar wood and expanded mesh bathed in diffused light.

The bar area features a communal table that allows mixologists to offer a lively drinking experience, serving both classic and innovative cocktails with fresh ingredients and a selection of world wines. AM
