Breitling breathes new life into its historic Premier collection for the dapper man of today
THE NEW PREMIER collection by Breitling, following the preceding collection of the same name around 75 years ago, marks the brands legacy of timeless elegance, style, and practicality, considering the brand’s staple of military and aviator watches since the late 1930s and 1940s.
The original collection of Breitling watches had either a 36mm or 38mm case, and were often crafted in gold with leather straps. In that collection, the watches were the first to feature the product name on the dial, which demonstrated the importance of personal identification.
The current collection introduces five distinct models dedicated to Breitling’s land collection, which includes chronographs and day-date models. For each dedicated timepiece, there’s a selection of either an alligator leather strap, nubuck strap, or a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.
PREMIER B01 CHRONOGRAPH 42
The flagship watch of the collection, the chronograph comes in either a silver or navy dial. The self-winding Breitling Calibre 01 has a power reserve of up to 70 hours. It is a COSC-certified chronometer with a minute counter and second subdial at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock respectively, as well as a white tachymeter scale on a black inner bezel around the dial.

PREMIER CHRONOGRAPH 42
This exquisite timepiece has the Breitling Calibre 13. As a sister piece to the Premier B01, the chronograph has a minute and hour counter as well as a second subdial.
The timepiece comes in black or navy, and features a white tachymeter ring with a scale.
PREMIER AUTOMATIC 40
The chronograph evokes the understated elegant style of Breitling timepieces from the 1940s. The self-winding mechanism is operated by the Breitling Calibre 37, which comes in either an anthracite, navy, or silver dial. The face is encircled by a white minute track and a second subdial.
PREMIER AUTOMATIC DAY & DATE 40
This remarkable model displays the day, date, and time using the Breitling Calibre 45 with a self-winding chronometer. Wearers have the choice of either a black or silver dial.
PREMIER B01 CHRONOGRAPH 42 BENTLEY BRITISH RACING GREEN
In conjunction with the launch of the
Premier collection, Breitling is thrilled to announce that it has renewed its partnership with Bentley. The two great brands have worked together since 2003, when Breitling became the first watchmaker entrusted to design an onboard clock for Bentley’s flagship model, the Continental GT.
The exclusive Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green timepiece, in collaboration with Bentley Motors, was inspired by the dashboard of the historically supercharged 1929 ‘Blower’ Bentley. It features the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01 mechanical movement with a power reserve of 70 hours, and the chronograph has the choice of a matching leather strap for a monochromatic style with the contrasting grey subdials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock.
