HUBLOT USHERS IN CHINESE NEW YEAR
To usher in the Lunar New Year, Hublot presents two of the most auspicious watches you can strap on for the festivities ‒ the Classic Fusion Chronograph Orlinski Red Ceramic and the Big Bang Unico Red Magic.
The Classic Fusion Chronograph Orlinski, limited to 200 pieces, has been paired with Hublot’s patented red ceramic. The colour of life and of passion, red evokes Richard Orlinski’s first Born Wild Crocodile sculpture. Created in 2004, it features this vivid and powerful shade of red. Since 2017 Richard Orlinski, the world’s bestselling contemporary artist, has been adding his angular style to Hublot watches. Works of art for the wrist, these feature his signature facets, nuanced with angles and edges. Like his sculptures, the 45mm Classic Fusion Chronograph Orlinski Ceramic boasts the sharp three-dimensional sculpted lines and polished finish.
A few months ago, at Baselworld 2018, Hublot expanded its catalogue of innovations by adding a new feat: the first ceramic to be created in a vibrant colour. Taking four years to develop from concept to industrialisation, the ceramic created is harder than previously seen (1500 HV1 versus 1200 HV2). This expertise was developed in tandem by Hublot’s Research & Development department and Metallurgy and Materials laboratory, a 100% in-house process, resulting in a secret formula protected by several patents.
For this first coloured ceramic, Hublot has chosen a vivid red, which symbolises power, passion and glory. The Big Bang Unico Red Magic is undoubtedly an ultra-resilient ceramic watch full of fire. With just 500 pieces released, its 45mm case and bezel are made from Hublot’s patented red ceramic, boasting a polished finish.
This theme encompasses the entire watch, matched with a lined structured red rubber strap.
