WHEN RESORTS WORLD GENTING officially opened the doors to Empire by Zouk, it served as the perfect glimpse of what’s to come with the main club Zouk. Staying true to the Zouk identity of offering something for everyone, Empire by Zouk is hip-hop themed, joining the likes of RedTail by Zouk, RedTail Karaoke as well as RedTail BBQ in the Zouk Atrium located in Sky Avenue Resorts World Genting.

With the upcoming opening of Fuhu ‒ a new vibe dining restaurant, Zouk Genting project director Joseph Ryan promises a redefined clubbing experience as well as one heck of a night out.

What are the inspirations behind the opening of Empire?

We wanted to enhance and diversify the lifestyle experiences of guests in Resorts

World Genting. The idea behind Empire stems from a hip-hop themed, vibrant club that is reminiscent of the raw, urban lounges in New York. Zouk has always been loved for being a multi-concept complex and we were looking to create that experience by introducing Empire in the resort. We won’t just be bringing the world’s best DJs but also household named hip hop and RnB artists.

What sets the Zouk Club in Reso s World Genting apa from Zouk in Kuala Lumpur?

Zouk’s goal has always been to create world class experiences and life long memories by providing the best music, the best DJs, the best sounds, and the best visuals that one can experience within any location. Zouk Genting promises to be the most technologically advanced yet, arguably the most sensory impressive system in the whole of Malaysia. The sound system can accommodate the demands of the world’s most famous DJs, the stage can handle the most high-octane live performers and our high definition screens will transport partygoers into a new sensory dimension.

With RedTail Genting, Zouk has diversified into the F&B sector while still maintaining the Zouk DNA of celebrations. Has RedTail met the intended expectations?

We are proud to say that since the launching in January 2018, RedTail has been a roaring success. Our aim was to make it fun and fresh by introducing a place where guests can enjoy their social lives to the max with a variety of games like Xbox, E-Games, Giant

Beer Pong, Giant Jenga, the Limbo or simply sit back and relax while listening to party music or watching their favorite sports on screen. Redtail is inclusive fun for all age groups, especially the millennials, and we are confident that the response will continue to show in the coming months. The highlight of 2018 was seeing a marriage proposal in RedTail, a memory we are very proud to hold dear, and before you ask it was not mine, although who knows what the future holds?

What does the future hold for Zouk Genting?

Big plans are in store for Zouk Genting̶ as everyone might already know, Zouk is a home to big name DJs and Zouk Genting will be no exception to an ever-changing line-up of international DJs. The super club only recently had its’ soft launch on New Year’s Eve and we saw 1,600 happy celebrants usher in the new year with us! Over 100k tourists visit Resorts World Genting daily during the peak season, and while numerous activities can occupy visitors during the day, there are only a handful number of things that they can do at night. Spanning over 8,000 square foot, we believe Zouk Genting will be the new hotspot for SE Asia’s party clique. AM
