SOMEWHERE BEYOND THE SEA

Somewhere waiting for you, and that somewhere is Reso s World Sentosa Singapore

-

A TRIP TO the nearest oceanic holiday may be a little short of time over the school holidays later this month, but you can always look to Resorts World Sentosa Singapore across the Causeway in Singapore, where the best of the oceans the world has to offer is all under one roof.

SPLISH SPLASH!

Designed for thrill-seekers and families, Adventure Cove Waterpark is Southeast Asia’s only aquatic park with integrated marine life. A unique outdoor venue bountiful of fun and excitement, visitors may get their adrenaline pumping at Riptide Rocket, Southeast Asia’s first hydro-magnetic coaster; flow down the Adventure River, one of the region’s longest lazy river attractions, through 14 stunning themed zones, including a lush jungle garden, a mysterious grotto cave and an underwater tunnel with a sea of marine life swimming above; or kick back at the Bluwater Bay, where cabanas and deck chairs are all decked out around the excitement happening at the surging crest of a giant wave pool.

Besides that, visitors may also immerse in marine habitats through snorkelling amidst the colourful corals and some 20,000 friendly fishes at the colourful Rainbow Reef, sign up for an unforgettable up close encounter with ethereal rays at Ray Bay, or get up close with some of the most majestic gentle giants of the sea with Sea Trek Adventure.

UNDER THE SEA

If after what Adventure Cove Waterpark has to offer does not quench your interest for what’s beneath sea level, S.E.A Aquarium may be just where you should head to, to get your fix. One of the world’s largest aquariums that is home to more than 100,000 marine animals representing 1,000 species, S.E.A Aquarium exhibits close to 80 threatened species ‒ including the manta ray, Clarion angelfish and a variety of beautiful corals that mirror a pristine aquatic environment ‒ through interactive programmes, up close animal encounters and immersive learning journeys.

At the Open Ocean Habitat, one of the planet’s largest windows to the ocean with a floor-to-ceiling viewing panel, visitors can marvel at majestic sea creatures through the spectacular vista; while at the Shark

Seas, more than 100 sharks from 12 species, including the nurse shark, black-tipped reef shark, grey reef shark and the endangered scalloped hammerhead shark are homed, alongside the bamboo shark and tasseled wobbegong, two of the eight species of sharks bred successfully in the aquarium.

Not only that, visitors can dream a little ocean dream for themselves with the unique Ocean Dreams sleepover programme. Participants get to camp in a tent at the Open Ocean Gallery with countless marine animals gliding by and lulling them to sleep, before waking up to aquarists interacting with manta rays in a special feeding session, on top of behind-the-scenes experiences in discovering fun facts about the ocean and marine conservation.
