Malaysians love a good pa y, and Guinness definitely served up one heck of a pa y, throwing a two-day festival celebratin­g St. Patrick’s at The Gasket

Alley. With festivitie­s aplenty, pa y-goers had their appetites for a good time satisfied with a line up of pe ormances complement­ed with a plethora of food as well as games that promised exciting prizes. With the typical Malaysian heat ablaze, the Guinness St. Patrick’s Festival came at a pe ect time as guests gulped down on ice cold Guinness topped with that distinguis­hed creamy foam top that defines the quality of Guinness. The food options were all exquisite, as a variety of Guinness-infused bites were made available such as the succulent Guinness stout roast and the decadent Guinness stout Baileys Ice Cream Floats among many delicious others. There were also plenty of games that had the crowd buzzing throughout the festival. The Long Bar challenge saw guests slide bo les of Guinness stout along a long table, with the winner rewarded with a trip for two to Dublin to take pa in the Guinness x Meatopia festival, another weekend long festival revolving around meat, drink, fire and music. Another popular game played was also the famous Guinness Draught Two Pa Pour challenge, challengin­g guests to execute the pe ect pour. Sláinte is the basic form in Irish Gaelic. A form of toast, revelers also pa icipated in the largest Sláinte in Malaysia. A selection of prizes were also up for grabs, such as custom Guinness ta oos from Electric Dreams, Beard On grooming products as well as leather key chains by A ached Leather Co, as guests all pu ing on their best Irish slang as well as dance moves to win. Guests also competed for the best ‘Guinness-tache’ - the creamy Guinness stout foam which covers the upper lip when taking a deep drink.The night was also on a constant high thanks to the electrifyi­ng pe ormances throughout the festival. Guests were able to enjoy their food and Guinness with the serenades from acts such as Ryot Jones, Froya, Jumero and Kyoto Protocol. Laughter was also served all around as Prakash Daniel pe ormed stand-up comedy to the merry crowd.
