Louis Vuitton draws inspiration close to home for their new collection
THIS SEASON, Timberland builds upon its forward-thinking Nature Needs Heroes campaign by adhering to its long-standing commitment to create products responsibly while steadily increasing its use of recycled, organic and renewable materials. Blending innovative features with quality craftsmanship, to keep coming back to these durable pieces for years and years. The latest release of eco-conscious casualwear is inspired by the carefree culture of 1980s Miami. The collection features airy silhouettes and light fabrics in energising pastels.
Utilizing innovative and sustainable fabric technologies such as the ReBOTL™ lining that is made from at least 50 percent recycled polyester. Another material, the premium leather has also been sourced and audited from Leather Working Group (LWG) Silverrated tanneries for their exceptional energy savings, chemical management, and waste and water treatment practices.
Key items include the Jackson’s Landing Moc Toe Oxford, which takes the traditional boat shoe and modernises it with a premium leather upper, a hand-sewn approach to construction, ReBOTL™ lining, a TrueCloud™ comfort foam footbed for that lasting, pillowlike cushioning, and a GripStick™ lug outsole which uses a specially blended, eco-conscious rubber compound for traction on slippery surfaces. Boat Oxford boasts sustainable construction from heel to toe thanks to a ReBOTL™ knit upper and lining, an eco-friendly and moisture-wicking OrthoLite® footbed, and TimberGrip™ traction technology made with 50 percent bio-based content on the outsole. Rounding out the collection is the superlightweight Mount Hancock Packaway Hoodie with quick-drying DryVent™ technology to keep things breathable all summer long.
