A CONTEMPORARY NARRATIVE

To celebrate the Valentino Garavani SuperVee bag, the Maison introduces SuperVee Comics, a multipart story separated into three chapters, each created by a voice in illustration and worldmaking. Starting off with a story written by Italian journalist Jacopo Bedussi, three young creators hailing from different parts of Asia ̶ Tokyo-based Mebachi, China’s Felicity Bang, and Seoul-based Kim JungYoun, have then interpreted the script through their own aesthetic. It’s a modern love story involving social media and a chance encounter, with the three main characters sporting the Valentino Garavani SuperVee. This project aims to convey the message of how even with the same medium, there’s more than one way of executing an idea based on each person’s life - different but unique in each way.
